We’re pleased to share that Tom Wolffers has been named managing director of Rothfos, effective July 1.
Tom brings 20 years of coffee experience, more than 15 of them with Neumann Kaffee Gruppe in Germany and the United States.
In 2010, Tom joined Neumann Kaffee Gruppe as assistant to the Board of Management. In this wide-ranging role, he supported the realization of various projects, most notably in Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia, and he helped to develop business plans, market analyses and strategies for the company’s growth.

Tom Wolffers, managing director of Rothfos.
In 2014, Tom transferred to Rothfos in New York City, broadening his experience within an operational company of NKG. He initially managed the Brazil book, as well as purchases from milds-producing countries in Africa and Asia. His responsibilities later shifted to key Latin American origins, including Colombia, Peru and Guatemala. During this time, he built strong customer relationships, took over several key accounts and, in 2024, was named senior trade manager.
With deep knowledge of the business, our customers and the broader coffee industry, Tom is well positioned to lead Rothfos into its next chapter.
We also want to thank Olaf Syrdahl, whom Tom succeeds, for his contributions to Rothfos and wish him all the best as he pursues new opportunities outside NKG.
Please join us in congratulating Tom. We’re grateful for the continued partnership of our clients and look forward to building on Rothfos’ long history of service, expertise and commitment to the coffee industry. •
